'Om Amissville Huritan Club received thu S.bb acres of land a* a gift from May belle Stuart in March, of 1.9S4 Mr*. Stuart and her latu husband Capt. L, b. Stuart had always hold a special place in thuir hearts for thu children of thu community and with this gift wished to provide a safb place fbr recreational opportunities tbr thu youth of thu Amissville area.
Thu Ruritan Club wanted bo insure that thu intention* of thu Stuart* were preserved and continued fbr thu entire oonununity, Through thu gift of thu land to thu count* the ettbrts of *o many toward* thu organisation of youth buseball in thu area will be guaranteed tbr year* to cornu.
Thu Amissville Ruritan Club wa* instrumental in buguuung die work on thu held* and organising the finds youth baseball team*. The community building wa* built through donation* of material and labor from many civhm minded people in thu community a* well a* from thu club.

As dm number* of team* grew *o did the need to have an organisation to handle dm overseeing of the program*. The Rappahannock Athletic Aaaociation became the driving force behind the league play at dm held* and expansion of dm baseball program.
Now known aaRappahannockCulpeper baseball, they wilt continue to be in charge of dm baseball operation and scheduling and maintenance at the complex under an agreement with dm county Stuart Field will always be a place where dm youth of the Amissville community can enjoy fresh air and sportsmanship thank* to so many con* earned with dm ftituru of our youth,
