I would love to support our outdoor sports. But, getting home from work and having dinner before 5 pan. is impossible. Therefore, I am not able to support our athletes. I have traveled to Madison to watch sporting events there because their events start at 7 p.m. The huge disappointment here is that 1 am pitying to watch games at our rival locations, thus supporting their athletic programs and not my own.
I also teel there is no community center in Rappahannock County where special events can be held. Wouldn't it be wonderfid to host Relay for Life on a ball held with tights and bleachers? What a special event for our community! This is just one example of many events or fundraisers that could be held at our fields if they had lighting. In addition to louking forward to gathering for yearly events, residents will have the opportunity to gather socially once a week to support our athletic teams. Watching sporting events is a source of entertainment for many residents.
