SE 06-06-01 Clyde Koral, dba Jordan River Farm Inc., owner of 328.6 acres located at 6 Shiloh Lane, Huntty (Tax Map 14, Parcel 3, zoned A-Agriculture, Wakefield District), desires a Special Exception permit to operate a conference center or resort for the purpose of holding weddings, receptions, private parties, corporate meetings, and other such events from mid-September through October; for a total of 12 events per year. Mr. Koral wtli be limiting the number of guests to no more than 200 no more than three (3) times per year, with no more than 100 guests the remaining nine (9) times. Overnight accommodations will be limited to eight (8) guests. There will be no amplified music after 1100pm. Baumgardner, Of Counsel, owner of 184.89 acres (Tax Map 41, Parcel 23, zoned A-Agricultural, Stonewail-Hawthome District), desire a Special Exception permit under “Carnival, field party, fair, show or music festival, tor profit temporary” to be known as the Castleton Festival, wnich event will take place July 3-19, 2009, with comparable annual Julyand August periods not to exceed 25 days per year thereafter. The Festival will involve a performance venue and rehearsal space, will enable visitors to attend multiple theatrical and musical programs, and will involve only the use of existing structures. The number of guests attending performances will not exceed 200 persons it a given time. The existing bam and silo will be renovated, while maintaining its farm-building appearance.
