Hopes and dreams of young families are put on hold and many seniors fear they will be unable to main* ends meet. As a community we can use this as an opportunity to re-examine our values and reaffirm our commitment to support each other
We can find small, individual ways to help our neighbors or we can participate in community-based organizations. It is not the time to “go shopping,” but it is the time to shop at home, supporting as many of our small businesses, our neighbors and friends, as possible. If you are having a blue day, go outside, look at the leaves on the mountains, breathe in our fresh air, and go for a walk with a friend. Interdependence means asking for help from each other and knowing when to find help from a community resource.
