More than ISO Boy Scouts, scout leaders, family and friends paid tribute to the 16-year-oid twin , brothers who earned the : highest honor in the Boy Scouts of America. According to Troop 36 , Scoutmaster Roger Pierson, | this achievement is the cul< mination of five years of ; effort by the Burdick broth: ers to develop leadership | skills and complete mare than 300 individual requirements. “As far as I know. Father Phillip Coni of ■ St, John the Evangelist Church in Warrenton began the ceremony with a solemn prayer for the Burdick boys and scouting. Assistant Scoutmaster Scott Gould delivered a moving solo a capella performance of The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Troop Leaders Doug Bywaters and Walt Longyear presented key portions of the program. A slide presentation featured Austin and Tylers history The highlight of the ceriony was the delivery of e Scout Charge by aptain J. D arrow . atriek, who serves as ^the troop's Eagle advisor. The two new Eagle Scouts acknowledged the devotion and support of their parents, Jane and Tbdd Burdick, by presenting their mother with a n miniature Eagle pin and \their father with an Eagle tie tack.
