Happenings

The village turned out in force for the celebration of the expansion of the Comer Store on Saturday. The new deck was filled most of the day with neighbors and visitors chatting while enjoying brat and beer in that glorious foil sunshine. A torn* through the store was rewarded with the new sense of space, expanded food selections and a generous table loaded with artisan cheese and freshly baked bread.

All businesses on Main Street and along Route 211 were bustling this weekend. Saturday night offered jazz at Stonewall Abbey Cafe and blue grass music at the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Hall. Don’t miss the next two Saturdays at Stonewall Abbey and put Nov. 14 on your calendar for the next Pickin’ Party at the Fire HalL
