The Piedmont Chapter of the Old FVople’s Riding Chib' hoeted their first regional rally on Sunday at Fancy Fox Farm ’ in Rixeyville. It was part of the national OPRC rally.

Riders competed against each other but also against all OPRC members across the nation. Scores will be tallied in, dressage, show jumping and other classes; scores will be sub* mitted to national headquarters where they will be compared' against other results nationwide.

Locally, members of the Piedmont OPRC, based inj j Jefferson tun, and Crops and Canes from Berryville competed uni; events that mimic the US. l\my Chib rallies tor juniors.

Joe Verga and Jag won the first two pleasure classes while ’ Sue Knox and Cody won the other pleasure class. Kevin; Yaunch and New Moon Sky won the '£ jumper class, with Alan' Burket and Notqytacat winning gamblers choice. Colleen Bur^l ket, owner of the hosting Fancy Fbx Fkrm. and Zoe won die 2'6“j 1 division. Amy Grimm of Crops & Canes riding Sundance KidM won the trail class. Renate Shields riding Legacy, a Clydesdale I cross, won the intro test, with Miranda Kettehvell and Soleil. a ] draft-Thoroughhred cross winning at training level. Puulu Payne and her Thoroughbred Andrew won firstlevel.

The Piedmont chapter of OPRC was started by Betsy Burnett in 2002 with 12 members. Today, the Piedmont chap^ ter is 50 members strong. j
