Letter *JTo ijwttwk ■
The Town Connell at Ha laat meeting decided not to write the A.B.C. inspector a letter in apportion to issuance of (beer licenses in the corporate limits. There was no .application for a beer lieense before the council and therefore it was felt there was no reason to prematurely decide ah issue that did not exist. One member indicated her ^.desire to have the letter written ‘while the other four members present did not consider it necessary. ,
In the last issue of the Rappa-' hannock News this matter was incorrectly stated when it reported, “the Council voted five to one that anyone applying for such a license would meet no opposition from ^he town.” In fact, there was no motion on the floor to bo officially voted on; only an informal presentation by me of a suggestion. made by the A.B.C. inspector, The question was whether or no( to adopt the suggestion.
The council would be glad to have any citizens appear before ns Snd express their opinion on any matter in which they might W interested.
DOROTHY C. DAVIS,
Mayor.
