Soil Saver Notes

Many Culpeper and Rappahannock County farmers have developed complete farm plans for soil and water conservation during the past month. The farmers were assisted by Soil Conservation Service Technicians working in cooperation with the Culpeper Soil Conservation District.
Culpeper farmers having developed plans in cooperation with the district include the following: Hazelmere Farms, 1056 acres, Reva; Douglas Swan, 521 acres, Brandy; G. R. Pruett, 411 acres, Batna; E E. Garnsey and L. N. Kelse, 115 acres, White Shop; W. W. Nelson, 181 acres, Reva; Mrs. S. A. Griffin, two farms, 167 and 80 acres respectively, Culpeper; and Jake and Ashby Mitchell, 217 acres, Griffinsburg.
These developing complete farm plans in Rappahannock County include, C. R. Wire, 1057 acres, Washington; and Marion Pettie, 80 acres, Nethers Mill.
A number of either farmers have requested assistance in developing their farm plan in both Culpeper and Rappahannock Counties. Five hundred and seventy farmers have taken advantage of the facilities offered by their Soil Conservation District by developing plans and establishing the yariotfs. soil and water conserving practices in Culpeper and Rappahannock Counties.
The Supervisors of the Culpeper Soil Conservation District invite all farmers to take advantage of the facilities available in the District. Ask the man who farms the conservation way what he thinks) of Conservation Farming.
