Checking Stations Set Up
For Door, Boor, Turkey
For the first time in Virginia turkey hunters will be required to have their turkeys tagged at official checking stations in the aame manner as deer and bear have been in the last several years.
In those counties having open seasons on bear, deer, and turkeys checking stations will be able to check all three species. In some counties where hunting of deer and bear is not permitted, but turkey hunting is legal, stations ■will be established where the hunters will be able to cheek their featured prises.
Checking stations will be distributed throughout every county having open season on bear, deer, and turkeys, at strategic and convenient locations, such as crossroads, filling stations, and stores. County game wardens can furnish specific instructions and locations of stations in their counties.
