Back about eighteen months to two years ago a skeleton Civilian Defense organization was set up in 'Rappahannock^ county. At the time, and once or twice since, some publicity regarding this organization was carried in our paper. However, of late Apparently a number of citizens seem to have forgotten about its why and wheTefors or else never heard of such, or don’t give a continental - - - -. Naturally the Rappahannock organization will never be called upon to function comparatively with that of Warren, Fairfax, or Arlington counties, nevertheless ours is a definite link necessary in having smooth and effective functioning on a state or national basis even if we are outside any particular potential target area or located “up a mountain hollow” to quote a local person.
