During some hearings from the citizens present,, B. J. Wood presented a list of figures of other counties in the state with population as small as Rappahannock where salaries of Commissioners were as much and higher. Several questions were asked the board members. One question, regarding the lowering of the salary, was “Do you think the work will be any less in 1952 than it was in 1951?” This question was directed at H. B. Wood, who refused to answer, stating that he didn’t) want any argument. * \
