Fodderstack H.D. group waa entertained in the home of Mrs. John Ubank on Wednesday, January 30. During the business meeting Mrs. Ubank agreed to make several X-ray gowns, a county H. D. project. These gowns will be used by the health unit -during T. B. Clinic, the last of February. The demonstration given at the meeting was Perennial flowers and shrubs for continous bloom. '*
The Amissville 4-H club decided to give |1.00 toward the purchase of the National 4-H center in Washington, D. C. This is a twelve and half acre campue to be used by many groups, priority being given to youth groups. Eventually, as planned, the center will have lodging, dinning and conference facilities for groups up to 300 persons. It will be operated the year round on a non-profit basis. Also during business meeting the club decided to put a display in the window of the Amissville, store as their part in observing National 4-H club week. The committee appointed to fix the window* iwas: Joyce Walter, Carol Rowzie and Mrs. Catherine Riley, •the leader. Jane Riley read Psalm 104 and Betty Scott lead the group in singing, . Jane Riley Remonstrated very capabally “How to set a Table.”
