and Rappahannock county fanners assisted by Soil Conservation Service Technicians 4eVeloped three new complete farm plans for soil and water conservation. Albert Fletcher III, of Flint Hill, 162 acres; Elaine C. Hunsaker, Amissville, 96 . acrea and Walter Slavik, Amissville, 65 acres were included in the group.
The three farm plans stressed grassland farming, fitting the capability of the land. Any sound! farm program must be based on the ability of the laqd to produce, otherwise our agriculture would not be permanent. The first consideration of the owners was to build soil fertility in an economical way, and secondly to i: bring the farms into production with a minimum of farm machinery, and labor.
Soil Conservation Technicians assisted five districts coopera tors u in laying out and marking contour lines of five farms during the past ten days. The farms included: Mrs. S. A. Griffin, 35 acres, Griffinsburg; Apperson Brothers, 14 acres, Culpeper; Carl Padgett, 6 acres, Amissville; J. S. Dodson,' 15 acres, Castleton; and Maurice O’Bannon, 30 acres, Woodville.
