Fifty two Rappahannock Angus Breeders, wives, mothers, and friends attended a dinner meeting of the local association held Monday night, February 18 at the Hy-Wy restaurant in Front Royal* Speakers and guests coming from some distance for the occasion included: George W. Litton, head of the VPI animal husbandry department; Dr. Charlees . Kincaid, in charge of beef cattle research at VPI; Mr. Spangler, assistant field secretary Virginia Aberdeen Angus Breeders association; and Myron Fuerst, one of the largest registered Angus breeders in the Eest, who hales from Pine Plains, New York. *
Business taking place included three major points: first,the local association unanimously agreed to donate Sc per calf sold through this year’s Feeder Calf Sale (Oct. 14) to the Virginia Beef Cattle Producers Association, to be used for the promotion of Virginia Feeder Calves in the north, combelt, and south; 2nd, that feeder calves to be inoculated twice with shipping fever bacterin ^ (See RAPP-CH ATS, page 6)
