Clean-Up Program
In preparation for ‘Virginia's Garden Week and Visitors Tour, the Highway Department in Bap* pahannock has been working over, time to help with the ‘‘spring cleaning” of the countryside. All guide rails, posts, and signs along the highways are getting a fresh groat of white paint and black boots and caps.
According to a proclamation by Dorothy C. Davis, mayor of Washington, the county seat is setting April 25 as clean-up day in the town. .
The realisation that thousands of tourists will pass through the county during Garden Tour Week, 'has awakened the pride of the county to see that property is clean and neat to present a good impression on the visitor.
