'Funeral services -for the late Elsie Peyton of Elkwood, a former resident of Madison County, who died at the University Hospital Wednesday, March 19 after a long period of declining health, were held on Friday afternoon, at 2 j30 from the Fairvfew Christain Church at Hood, Virginia, with interment in the Church cemetery. Rev. E. Rives Ferguson conducted the services. _ Mr. Peyton* 68 year* of age, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rowe Peyton of Green Co. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Mildred Peyton of Madison; three sons, Ruben Peyton, Culpeper; Lloyd Peyton, Elkwood and James Peyton of Madison.
Active pallbearers were Vaden 'Peyton, Buddy Marks Jack Peyton, Buster Peyton, Henry Peyton, and Cary Peyton.
Friends and relatives attending the services assisted in carrying the beautiful profusion of floral tributes. „ •
