Two turkey shoots are also planned by the Amissville fire company, one on November 7, the other November 21. The ladies auxiliary will serve sandwiches and coffee at the shoots.

Mr. Jones, a Washington, D. C. attorney with a country home in Fauquier County, wrote the Amissville— department a letter of appreciation when enclosing his donation.
He thanked the fire fighters for helping to put out a field fire on his property, adding, “I feel like doing something toward the support of your company, and feel that its continued operation is very good insurance for the community.” ...... „.
