SCA Council Holds
First Meeting of This Session <
The first meeting of the Rap- * pahannock County SCA Council for the 1953-54 school session was held in the Sperryville Elementary School on October 13. Delegates from Amissville, Forest Grove, Belle Meade, Reager and Sperryville represented their respective schools. All schools represented also paid their dues for ,1953-54. In the absence of the president, Carols Williams, Flint Hill School, JackilPfutherford, Sperryville School, presided. * The program was presented as follows: Devotions by Amissville School. Reading of Minutes of March. Review of SCA Creed.-:Aims and Purposes, etc. . Roll call and identification of dete.gates._. _r Individual reports from each school as to organization, etc. Collection of dues Review of Banner requirements —Setting up of 1953-54 objectives. Presentation of play, “Mr. Put-ItOff”, by Amissville School.
The following objectives were adopted by the group:
(1) An active SCA for pupils from the 5th through the 7th grades in each school in Rappahannock County.
(2) Regular meetings of the SCA : in each school with carefully planned programs.
(a) Some attention should be given to our SCA Constitution, Aims and Purposes, symbol, emblem, creed etc.
(3) Representatives at each county SCA Council meeting and also the Division Meeting.
(4) Strive for good citizenship' practices.

P CHURCH SERVICES
— The Bible class which has been meeting Thursday nights at 7:30 has been changed to Monday nights at 7:30. The choir practice meets at 7:00, * prior to the Bible class. We had 22 present last Monday night. Keep the ■< , good work going and may we have many more present. This is for all who desire to learn more about God’s word and the Bible. All are welcome.
Services will be held at the Washington Baptist church October 25 at 7:30. Rev. Profitt will speak on the subject: “Christ In Bonds.” You are welcome to attend. - -
We have been having very nice attendance at both Sunday School and worship services. Sunday, October 11_ there were 127 in Sunday School and 115 Sunday, October 18. Keep the good work going and come bring another with you. Our goal is 150 and you can help us make it. ; j Services will be held at Flint Hill Baptist Church October 25 at 11 a.m. -Rev. Profitt will speak on the subject “The Prodical Son’s Father.” You are welcome to attend. Remember your presence is an inducement to others to come. ^ ^
