There was a' basketball game at the Sperryville Elementary School auditorium, Friday night, between R.C.H.S. Panthers and Aldie High. Both" the home teams won.

The weatherman says 6 weeks of bad weather (as prophized by brother groundhog) but Mr. Gasque says plenty of hot days in June.

Sperryville Elementary School has been in the midst of examinations for the past week. Results of the exams can be clearly read in expressions of mirth and happiness or of disappointment and woe, woe is me.

Tuesday night at Sperryville, the Panthers played a close game with Madison. The Panthers won with a score of 42-38. Jean Brown came up with 21 points; Mable Hawkins sank 10; Faye Black, 6; Lois Racer, 1; and Alice Leake, 4. Good sportsmanship was shown by both teams.
Panthers Win Four More Games
Friday night, January 29, the girls’ team downed Aldie High with a score of 42-29 on the Sperryville School court. Jean Brown was high scorer wth 21 points,, followed by her team mates, Alice Leake, 10; Lois Racer, 6; Margaret Devers, 3; and Mable Hawkins, 2. Bessie Dodson, Joyce Clark, Virgie Atkins, Shirley Williams and Betty Johnson were the guards.

The boys took Aldie High in a , close game, 39-33. Harold Brown was high scorer with 17 points; Strother Brown, 13; Bobby Atkins, 7 and Tony L-ucas, 2. High scorer for Aldie 29.
