Both victory and defeat were evident in the atmosphere that pervaded the school bus, bringing the Panthers home from their Tuesday night doubleheader with Lovettesville For the Panther boys had surged ahead of Lovettesville to win by a score of 40-39, while the R C H S girls had lost to Lovettesville 61-52. Jean Brown was high for Rappahannock with 31 points and Lois Racer second with 14. Bobby Carter won high honors for the visitors by tossing in 41 points. Bobby Atkins with 11 points, was high for the Panther boys.
Last Friday,in a game with Marshall, the boys lost 67-35 and the girls won by a wide margin.
The Panthers will meet Warrenton on the Sperryville court this Friday.
