^■nall live implies more than just existence, it implies ~that~one— “shall thrill, enjoy, and respond to life in a great way. One begins to live in a very different sense when he falls in love. Where he was just existing he now thrills to the# very thought of holding his object of love.
It takes food, shelter, medical care, and clothes to exist in our society today. These things feed and protect our physical bodies. The man who does not possess any faith in himself to provide himself and his family these necessities continues to exist in some fashion, but one would not say he is living in the true sense.
One lives by faith—faith in his creaturehood, faith in his Creator, faith in his Creator’s concern for his welfare (he sees this concern more completely in God’s action in and through Jesus, the Christ). One also lives when he has faith in other people. God and man find pleasure in associating with a person that remains faithful. It is true as' the writer puts it, “. . . . but if any man draw back (loses faith in himself, God, and others) my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” As you go to and fro in the world today, are you living or are you just existing?
