Cadets Joe Jones’ and John Turner of R.M.A., Front

Cadets Joe Jones’ and John Turner of R.M.A., Front Royal, were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Turner. Turner, one of the R.M.A. pitchers, has been quite successful this season. Among games won was one against Fishburn on Saturday.

Mrs. Ida Singleton and Mrs. Festa of Zanesville, Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin L. Hawkins of Washington. D. C. were the_ week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce of Jackson Hill and attended the Hunt Ball on Satur- ' day night.

Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Miller and Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett were Tuesday evening dinner guests of Mrs. J. N. Major of ( Riverside, Riverton. Mrs. Broke Moffett and daughter were visiting Mrs. Major while Dr. Moffett was attending a medical convention in Richmond. Mrs. Moffett joined her husband there, while her infant daughter, Robin, remained with her grandmother.

Mayor Dorothy C. Davis was one of the principal speakers on the panel discussion of Democratic Mayors of U. S. Mrs. Davis spoke on the subject, “Both Political Parties Need to Appeal to Grass Roots Support,” at the Mayflower Hotel, Washington, D. C. on Thursday.

Miss Ellie Jenkins of Rapahannock county, who fell and broke her hip, recently, is in the Woodstock Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Judd Burke and Mrs. Guy Burke visited MissJenkins at the Woodstock Hospital, Friday evening. Miss Jenkins is doing as well as can be expected. .

Little David Burke of Fredericksburg is spending some time with Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke, while his mother, Mrs. Trenton Burke is in Fredericksburg Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mr. and Mrs. John Cargill and Mr._ and Mrs. Corrie King and daughter of Winchester spent Mother's Day at A.M.A. with Cadet T. C. Lea, Jr.
