Mrs. Mary Jefferson Clater, who has recently been a patient in Physicians Hospital in Warrenton, returned to he/ home Sunday, Her niece, Mrs. J. J. Corbitt of Washington, D. C. is staying with her during convalescense. Mrs. Clater wishes to express her most sincere thanks to all her friends for the cards, letters and flowers she received while being hospitalized.
Pvt. Frank D. Coffey Jr. of Ft; Story spent a two day leave over the week end with Mrs. Coffey Jr. and his mother, Mrs. F. D. Coffey, Sr. On Saturday Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Muterspaugh and their daughter, Ravonda of Arl1 ngton came for a week end visit in the Coffey home.
Week-end guests at “Barlow,” the home of Mrs. E. W. Gore and Mrs. Helen Bruce were their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Brown, their sonin-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stevens of Newport News. On Sunday, Mrs. Gore and Mrs. Brruce arranged a picnic dinner on the lawn. Their guests included'Mr. and Mrs. J. Earl Wayland and boys, Mr. and Mrs. James Wayland, Julian Wayland and his daughter, Linda of Washington, D. C., Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow, Mrr. and Mrs. Russell Partlow, Custis Wayland, Mr. and Mrs. James J. Wayland and family of Culpeper, Henry Brown and his daughter, Miss Bonnie Brown of Woodville, A. L. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Brown, Miss Jean Brown, and Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Smith and son, Bruce Lee of Gainesville.
