Field Demonstration

Lyne represent Rappahannock on the Four State Farmers Committee, which recently selected the equipment to be demonstrated in the 'Field Demonstration Day, the new name for the annual farm tour sponsored by the Four State Farmers. This year, the tour will be held on August 20 at the farms of Earl Remsberg, Buckeystown, Maryland, located on Route 15 about 5 miles east of Frederick, -Maryland.
The name of the organization's yearly event has been changed, states President Herman Stockslager, because “we have had to stop going from farm to farm due to the tremendous number of fanners attending these demonstrations. Our first four eight years ago was attended by about 80 persons; our last tour drew approximately 3,000. That* is far too many people to move from farm to farm so we are how bringing the equipment to adjoining farms to be demonstrated.” This day-long demonstration will be jointly presented by the Four-State Farmers Association and the Mar-Del-Va Farm Equipment Dealers Association.' The program will be conducted with the assistance of the Extension Service of the Agricultural Engineering Dept., College of Agriculture, University of Maryland and the Farm Department, Poto- • mac Edison System.
