Mrs. Aileen* Johnson aided Sperryville H. D. members in making copper bowls at V.F.W. Hall. Mrs. Johnson was craft leader and hostess for July. -Three ladies from Rappahannock attended Rural Instjtute held at V.P.I., July 26-30. These ladies were Mrrs. Jessie Rowzie, Mrs.Robert Boyd and Mrs. L. R. Hudson. Outstanding were talks given by Miss Dorothy Emerson, Associate 4-H club agent, Maryland, in which she spoke on “Speak for Yourself.” “Youth’s Responsibilities in the World Today” was equally as interested and was given by Mrs. Polly Haust, Home maker and writer of Oakland, Md. Mr§. Haust was the original Polly of the column “Up in, Polly’s Room” in the Farm Journal.
