JOSHUA H. BECKWITH
' Joshua Haywood Beckwith, 64, of Boston, Massachusetts, and a native of Rappahannock County, - died July 22. Funeral services for, Mr. Beckwith were held Monday, July 26 from the Promised Land Baptist Church with Elder S. W. Timbers conducting the services, Interment was in the family ceme- < tery at Smedley.
There was an unusually large assembly of friends and relatives, and also beautiful floral tributes.
Mr. Beckwith was the son of the late Robert and Alice Beckwith and he is survived by hi$ wife, Mrs. Mildred Williams Beckwith; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Holmes of Elizabeth, N. J. and Mrs. Susie Allen of Culpeper four brothers, James of Boston, Masss., Earnest, Frank. and Brown Beckwith of Washington, Va.; two nieces, Miss Mabel Holmes of N. J. and Mrs.^Alice Porter of Washington, Va; three nephews, Richard and Robert of N. J. and Robert Beckwith of Culpeper. — Active pallbearers were Tellus Poles, William Green, George Hughs, George and Robert Jordan and Ruben Freeman.
