The Exponent Publishing Company, Inc., with officers John Locke Green, Mary Hume Farmer Green and John G. Smoot, will soon open its doors in the neighboring county of Culpeper, according to direct information from Mr. Green yesterday morning.
The State Corporation Commission has recently granted a charter to this newly formed newspaper organization.
Culpeper is familiar ground to Mr. Green. He is a grandson of James W. Green, founder of The Culpeper Exponent and a nephew of Raleigh T. Green, owner and publisher of The Culpeper Exponent from 1897 until his death in 1946—-printers’ ink runs deep in his veins. -^Mrs. Mary Hume Farmer Green is a native of Culpeper County,“and taugjit schocd at Brandy for some time. At present she and her husband make their home in Arlington. There Mr. Green has gained state-wide recognition as a prominent lawyer.
