Slate Mills News _Mrs. Robert Brown enjoyed a call last Tuesday from Mrs. Mary Utz, Mrs. John Coppage and her daughter, Janet, of Culpeper. On Sunday, Mrs. Brown had a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Brown of Stevegsburg.

On Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Thornhill had as visitors Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kent of Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Boyd had as their houseguests for the weekend Mr. and Mrs. Richard S. Snyder of Newark, Delaware.

Miss Mary Elizabeth Hite of “Mont Medi” was a dinner guest of the Miller sisters on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Thornhill and their little daughter Kathy of Hagerstown, Md., were the week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Nethers. Sunday at dinner they were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Walker Hood and son, Alvin of Hood, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Gaines of Winston. Afternoon callers included Mr. and Mrs. Qsie Coppedge and her daughter, ' Margaret of Brightwood, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Haverstock, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Weakley and daughter, Brenda, Mrs. Mary Pannill, Miss Reva and Earl Coppedge, all of Culpeper, Mrs. Iva Tanner and Mrs. Luther Utz of Brightwood, Mrs. John E. Yowell and son, Wayne of Luray.
