Rescue Squad. Orange was honored as having the Best Fire Apparatus. An award for the Best Float was presented to the Amissville Youth Club. Culpeper’s Res=cue Squad was named “The Best Appearing.”
The equipment in the Washington Rescue Squad Car includes 2 stretchers, oxygen equipment and a complete first aid kit.
• REPORT OF AUXILIARY
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department had 3 successful nights in their money-making efforts at the recent Firemen’s Fall Festival, taking in a grand total of $1,467.45 with their projects.
Three booths were allotted to the Auxiliary. .Mrs. Charles Green was in charge of two, one for the sale of cakfe, pies and candy and another “New” booth hayjpg for sale miscellaneous articles. One hundred and * forty dollars and sixty-three cents was taken in at these stands. The food booth, with Mrs. Clifford Latham as chairman, took in $569.68.
Donations amounted to $148.60. Added to the Queen’s Contest’s $608.54 gross, and the proceeds from the stands, the total stands at an all time high, $1467.45.

The management of the Amissville Firemen’s Fall Festival desires to announce its wholehearted appreciation of the splendid support and cooperation given by the local and neighboring communities during the recent Festival events.
Results have been so gratifying that they have not yet been fully tabulated. Please bear with us until next week for the announcing of a complete summary of occurences.
