second consecutive year that Carver’s band has taken part in this type event. Last-year the band won first place.
On October 1, the band participated in the Apple Harvest Festivals in Charlottesville. There were fifteen bands playing with Carver winning second place. The band has two concerts in a series of four.
The first two being in the county of Culpeper and Rappahannock. The third concert in this series was on October 25th in Madison County. The date for the Orange County concert will be announced later. The purpose for these concerts are to let the people know some of the activities that are being carried on in the band. "Also we are trying to raise money to purchase new uniforms which are badly needed.
The band future engagements aro as follows:
Carver High School on November 19th for the Annual In-Door . Carnival and Turkey Raffle. Orange Christmas Parade on December 4th. Culpeper Christmas Parade on December 7th. Mr. Sampson, band director, stated that he was very proud of both the beginning and advanced bands, and that he anticipates great things from both hands in
