Floyd Compton, in charge of the Washington Masonic Cemetery, stated that there was a section that could be reserved, at a lower cost than the other sections, for such plots. The board considered the question and a motion was made that the county pay for such individual plots when the need arises. Sentiment was that these cases would be few. Latham made this motion that “the county agrees to purchase a burial plot for paupers at $10 per grave.” Wood seconded the motion.
