Services Held For
Foreign Missions
The Annual Week of Prayer for Foreign Missions will be observed at Slate Mills Baptist Church from November 29 to December 3.
On Monday evening at 7 :30, there will be a service presenting the work of the Southern Baptist Convention in foreign fields, including a film-strip, “The Star Shineth,” which symbolizes the ministeries made possible through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
Wednesday evening at 7:30, Mrs. J. T. Edwards of Culpeper, will review the W.M.S. study book of the year, “Pilgrimage to Brazil,” showing color slides and also the filmstrip “Sharing the World in Brazil.”
On Friday evening at 7:30, the final program, “Encircling the Globe,” will culminate in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for Foreign Missions. The plans for this evening include consideration of facts about each country and prayer in answer to requests for that country. v The meetings are sponsored by the Woman’s Missionary Society of the Slate Milk Church, but the whole church is participating and! any interested visitors will be welcome.
