3 Deer1 Checked At Rapp’k Stations
Three deer have been weighed in at the Rappahannock checking stations since the hunting season opened in the county last Saturday. ' 7
Payne’s Garage, Washington, > reports a deer checked in by Mrs. Clark Jones of Flint Hill. Her kill was a 218 pound, 8 point deer weighed in, on Monday. Two deer * were weighed in at Rector's Store in Flint Hill. Maury Fry’s kill was a 140% pound, 8 point deer, and Elmer Foster Jr.’s, a 10 point deer. ✓
Nethers’ Esso Service, Sperryville; Jenkinfc’ Garage in Amissville and Burke’s Store in Woodviile report that no deer have been checked in at their stations. No report has yet been received from Green’s Store in Slate Mills.
MAIL ROUTE EXTENDED
On December 1st, 1954, the rural route from Castleton Post Office will be extended from Mrs. Heyl’s gate, through Estes to Cook’s gate and retrace. This extension was authorized by the Post Office Department because of the discontinuance of Estes Post Office on November 30th. All mail addressed to Estes will come to Castleton.
