Virginia W. Cooksey
Friends and relatives were shocked and grieved to hear last .Wednesday that Miss Virginia ' W, Cooksey, 29, had died at her home in Baltimore. Funeral services were held Friday, December 17 at Geest Chapel in Culpeper with the Rev. J. T. Edwards officiating. Budial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
Included among the pallbearers were James Anderson, Lewis Nelson, Fred Cook, Rupert Corbin, R. E. Johnson and William Cannon.
Miss Cooksey was born at Castleton, the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Ethel Corbin Cooksey. She~ obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at Madison College, Harrisonburg and a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland.
Besides her mother, Miss Cooksey is survived by a sister,-Mrs, A C. Walker of Fort Story.—V.FVw!
CHRISTMAS TREE
Rappahannock Post 1150 Veterans of Foreign Wars and its Auxiliary will hold their annual Community Christmas Tree at 7:15, Thursday, December 23 at the V.F.W. Hall in Sperryville. Santa will be there to greet all the children.
