Recitations, Carols
The Washington Baptist church presented its program Monday, December 20 to a large audience which filled the church.
Mrs. Paul Nichols was in charge of the program and led off by the audience and choir singing “O Come All Ye Faithful.” The welcome was given by Jimmy Jenkins and Stanley Profitt followed with prayer. The Beginners and Primary Classes then sang “Away In the Manger” and Rev Profitt read the Christmas story from Luke the 2nd chapter and led iff" prayer. The audience then joined in singing “It Came Upon The Midnight Clear.”
Mrs. Gilbert Updike directed the Junior boys and girls in an impressive candlelight sfervice and song. Betty Jean Settle read a ( poem and the audience again, sang “O Little Town of Bethlehem.”
