The Sperryville -Volunteer Fire Department held its annual Christmas Dance Friday night with friends from “all over” enjoying the music of Chauncey Brown and his orchestra, the visit from Saint Nick and the excite— ment created when the television set was given away.
Around midnight Santa Claus appeared with bells a’ringing and a pack on his back. He mingled among the crowd handing out gifts and later proceeded to the stage where the drawing was held for the 21” Television Set. Walter M. Dodson of Sperryville was the lucky person.
TTie Fire Department wishes to thank each and everyone who helped to make this dance a success. A total amount of $622.70 was realized from the project.
