A TRIBUTE Mrs. Louise Miller Price was a teacher in the schools of. Rappahannock County for 23 years and in the schools in West Virginia for 4 years. She served faithfully and efficiently until a short while before her death in Washington, Virginia, on May 3, 1955. While she is no longer with us in person, she will continue to live in the hearts and minds of the teachers with whom she worked and the pupils who were privileged to be in her classroom. As we think of her, there are certain qualities that set her apart and that are particularly significant of the force and charm of her personality.
She loved beauty. Evidence of this love was seen in her classroom, her home, and wherever she moved.
She was loyal to her friends, her profession and to her God—and this loyalty endeared her to all who knew her.
She was courageous, continuing with her work at school and in the community far beyond the usual limits of human endurance.
She was a good teacher, seeing her classes not as groups but rather as individual children and striving to fit her teaching to the need of each child. She will be remembered by many' boys and girls for her kindly guidance and encouragement.
Mrs. Price will be missed in the professional activities of the Rappahannock Education Association, but wp shall carry forward the inspiration which we have received over the years from her attitude and example. We are better because she lived among us.
