Thursday, June 23—WCVA Radio at 12 noon. A group of home demonstration ladies enjoyed the county trip to Gettysburg and Hershey, Pa., June 8th and 9th. The first stop was a tour of the Gettysburg . Battlefield and a view of President Eisenhower’s Farm. The next stop was Hershey Candy Factory and irose gardens with 850 different varieties of roses in full bloom. From there the group visited the museum, where they saw the apostolic clock, made by John Feister in 1878. Every third quarter on this clock, Christ appears from the door and the procession of apostles begins. Each faces Christ and His arm lifts as if to bless them. When Peter approaches Christ the cock crows and Peter turns his back depicting the Denial. j
The last point of interest was the Milton Hershey School for orphan boys.
