Here the state wide situation ex-' actly reversed the cow testing in that 66 counties have vaccinated a lower percentage of their heifers. Even so, can we be satisfied: with calfhood vaccinating” only about one heifer out of every three and blood testing only 1 cow out of every five when our state is meeting practically all of the cost connected therewith. No we can’t, however, I do think work done in controlling Bang’s in Rappahannock during November will show a decided boost to our percentages wherj the December bulletin is out. •Norfolk county heads the .state in heifer vaccinations with 80.2%. Warwick, Fairfax and Isle of Wight lead in percent of cows tested with 95.6%., 83.7% and 83.6% respectively.
Rappahannock’s next countywide Bangs' control and eradicationprogram will be.held in March Since calving time isn’t too good a tirrje to be bleeding cows this will be primarily for heifer vaccinatiohs. Owners contemplating testing their herds probably should do so now rather than waiting until in March.

The Slate Mills Baptist W. M. U., Under the leadership of Mrs. C. M. Ramey, president, observed the annual Season of Prayer for Foreign Missions at the church Wednesday evening, November 30. Miss Ellen Hossley of Culpeper,, was guest speaker and gave an interesting account of the inspiring life and service of Miss Lottie Moon, Virginia missionary to China, who originated the special Christmas offering for F'oreign Missions. •
