ment or 15 acres, whichever is the larger, may utilize the excess acreage as green manure, pasture, hay, or silage to avoid having a farm marketing excess of wheat. Farmers with 15 acres pr less may also utilize acreage in excesss of their allotment to qualify for price support.
In Rappahannock county the date by which excess wheat shall be utilized in June 1, 1955 according to Mr. Barksdale, county ASC chairman. He stated that acreage in. excess Of the allotment and 15 acres not utilized for one of the foregoing purposes by this date will be subject to a penalty equal to 45 per cent of the wheat parity price on May 1, 1956. The penalty’ rate on the 1955 crop was $1.13 per bushel.
The ASC chairman cautioned all wheat farmers in the county who have excess wheat, whether intentionally seeded or otherwise,
