Jingling bells, gaily wrapped . Ap resents and Christmas carols laid ' the scene for the social held Monday night by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department in the fire hall. The "Fun Time” was preceded by a business meeting in which officers were elected for 1956:

Mrs. B. R. Cox re-elected president; Mrs. C. T. Bruce, te1 elected vice-president; Mrs. A. M. Hickman, 2nd vice-president (a newly created office); Miss , Ruby Jenkins, secretary, and Miss Mary Jenkins, re-elected treasurer.

Miss Ruby Jenkins, on the committee for a plan of work for 1956, asked for suggestions from the group before the final plan was presented.

Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr., • suggested another ladies' home carnival. This was discussed ’ briefly by the ladies, and seemed to meet their approval.

Mrs. Frank Moffett. brought before the group the idea of a Bring and Buy book shop. "Ji%
