In her gifted manner, Mr*. Frank Moffett has preserved for Rappahannock many legends of a day now past. Requests have beat received to reprint one of her writings, The Buzzard Roost.
First composed by Mrs.; Moffett for publication in the; Blue Ridge Guide, the tale would have been lost, had not Mrs. D. B. Burton saved, in her scrapbok, a clipping of it from the Guide.
Rappahannock's Monts Carlo, better and perhaps more appropriately known aa the “Buzzard Roost”, like so many ancient landmaria, has fallen in the. golden path of progress. (The passing doubtlessly recalls to many the many ‘court weeks’, or rather 'nights’ of thirty years ago. j
