the congregation. His subject might be called the real meaning of the 4-H pledge. He explained that none of the four parts of the pledge would have any value if God was left out of one’s ilfe. The young people were urged to let God direct their thinking that it might be clearer, and set their hearts upon God with greater loyalty ,give their hands and health to constructive living for God, club , community and country. The whole group stood and repeated the pledge and motto at the beginning of the service. Members from Flint Hill School and the Night dub and three leaders were present.
Amissville Defeats The Plains, 9 to 7
The Amissville A’s came to life last week as they defeated The Plains 9-7 at Amissville. This was the first victory for the A's in four starts.
Jack Arthur was the hero of the game as he led Amissville to victory with his extraordinary demonstration on the mound. In all, he fanned 17 opponents and gave up but six hit*.
