To Attend Convention
At the 7th District Republican Committee meeting held in Luray on July 12th, Alfred M. Hickman Chairman of the Rappahannock County Republican Committee, was unanimously elected to the Platform and Rules Committee of the State Republican Convention which will convene in Roanoke on July 21.
Mr. Hickman will leave on the 19th to meet with his committee prior to the convention.
W.S.C.S. Meets
The Woman’s Society for Christian Service met Thursday, July 12 at the church with the president, Mrs. Jesse Rowzie presiding. Ten members were present.
Mrs. Gilbert Updike was program leader, “Scatter the Seed in Brazil” was the subject and the work of “The Little $carritt* a Methodist school in Sao Paulo, was told by the dialogue method, with Mrs. C. R. Racer, Mrs. Jack Petty, Mrs. A. D. Goodson and Mrs. Virginia Estes taking part.
