Graveside funeral services were held on Saturday, July 14, in the Flint Hill Methodist Church Cemetery for Towson Eastham Smith, who died at his residence in Los Angeles, California, on July 10 at the age of 75.
The Rev. A. D. Goodson conducted the services.
Mr. Smith was the son of the late Major Towson Smith and Anna Miller Smith and was born and reared at Bowling Green, the family home in Rappahannock County.
He attended Washington A Lee University and until he moved to California about 20 years ago, operated the Bowling Green estate, where he had large apple orchards
