Holds August Meet
The Auxiliary to the Amissville V.F.D. held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Ang. 7, at 8:00 p.m.. in the Fire Hall. Twenty members were present including three who have joined recently. _
Mrs. Richie Colvin, president for , the coming year, was in charge of the meeting, Mrs. Mary Priest, acting secretary, read a letter of resignaiton from the newly elect- . ed secretary, Mrs. Sarah Latham. The resignation was accepted with regret Mrs. Ralph Rowzie was elected to fill the vacancy.
Chairmen of standing .committees appointed for the coming year were as follows: Kitchen, Mrs. Lloyd Bywaters; Membership, Mrs. Arthur Woodward; Finance, Mrs. Wallace Stover.
An amendment will be added to the By-laws to change the time of election of officers from July to February.
Further plans were made to help at the Firemen’s Carphral to be held August 23-26. - > '
