The Rev. John Owens D. D. District Superintendent of Char* lottesville District presided at the first quarterly meeting on Friday night in the M. E. Church. Each church on the Rappahannock Charge which includes Flint Hill,' Wills Chapel, Washington, and Sperryville was represented and splendid reports of the work on the entire charge were submitted. Dr. Owens our new superintendent, made a very timely talk as an introduction after^which the business session was conducted. , The reception which was given bn Thursday evening Aug. 16th, for the Rev. A. Paul Thompson and Mrs. Thompson on the lawn of the Reynolds Memorial Church, was attended by a large gathering of members ind friends of both the F. T. and Reynolds Memorial churches.
