Deep Snow Closes
The County Schools
A five inch snow, that closed manv roads, also closed the schools of Rappahannock on Monday. They opened on Tuesday, due to the fact that the efficient and hard working road crews of the State Highway Department were out early and late with their snow plows.
However, “OldMan Winter** saw 'to it'iKir they'were closed at 2:00 P. M. on Tuesday sd that the children, who ride the school busses could get home early. There was no school on Wednesday, as it was/ impossible for the busses to run on account of the deep snow.

On Camellia Plants
Members of the Rappahannock Garden jClub and others interested in flowers and horticulture, have been watching with much pleasure the growth of the camellias at Mrs. Lewis J. Turner’s home. The plants are three years years old and last year, one blossom matured.
This year, the are tweny buds. The plants are on the north side of the house.
Down Mt. Salem Way, in the green house at Jassamine Hill, African daisies, bigonias, poor man’s orchids, gardenias, camillias and the bouganvillia vine are in full bloom.
Mrs. Frank Glass, who has charge of the gardens and flowers at Jassamine Hill, loves to .show them to friends and neighbors.
