Miss Jean Kilby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Kilby is recuperating at her home after being very ill for the past week.

Mr. Will Fincham of Griffins* burg spent the week end with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fincham.

The Rev. Clem A. Walters, Joe Duncan and Earl Coppage were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Ramey Sunday. They were also callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Nethers.

Mr. and Mrs. John Yowcll and son, Wayne of Luray spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Weakley. Sunday guests in the Weakley home included Mr. and Mfs. Maxwell Weakley, and Mrs. Daisy Herndon of Culpeper.

The Slate Mills H-D Club met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Goldie Kennedy, with Mrs. Elizabeth Powers in ’•charge. In absence of the president, Mrs. Powers gave an interesting demonstration and talk on “Window Styling”. The H-D banner was displayed and explained. Mrs. Gilbert Updike of Washington was a visitor. Devotions were led by. Miss Betty Kennedy.
